Husky

Siberian Huskies are considered by many to be the most beautiful breed of dog in the whole world. They are friendly, inquisitive, sociable and very energetic. Spectacular northern appearance, amazing stamina and unpretentiousness became the hallmark of this breed. In the modern world it is difficult to find a person who at least once did not hear about the Siberian Huskies.
Appearance
Siberian Huskies are the most compact, light and fast northern breed of dogs. The maximum height at the withers of the breed is 60 cm, and the weight is 27 kg.
The body of the Siberian Husky is of medium compactness, the back is straight and strong, the chest is moderately wide, deep, strong, the loin is strong, the croup is slightly sloping. Limbs bony, strong, paws compact, oval-shaped. The neck is of medium length, convex. Medium sized head with a slightly rounded top. The muzzle is of medium length, the transition from the forehead to the muzzle is pronounced. Eyes slightly slanting, almond-shaped. They can be brown, blue, brown interspersed with blue and vice versa, and also two eyes can be distinguished by color. The ears are erect, triangular, medium size. The tail in the active state takes the form of a sickle, in the state of rest it is kept lowered.
Wool Husky medium length, very thick, dense, not hard, with a developed undercoat. The color palette is varied: from pure white to black, markings on the body and drawings on the head are possible.

Character
Siberian Huskies are active and cheerful dogs, natural born travelers. They are brave, inquisitive, playful, their optimism and love of life can only be envied. Huskies are great companions. They like to spend time with their families, get out with the owners on the nature, form a company in jogging.
Huskies are affectionate, friendly and trusting. They are so gullible that the good guards will never work out of them, because these pets happily welcome even those people who are seen for the first time. Due to the good-natured temperament, husky easily make friends among other dogs, aggression is not peculiar to them.
With regard to training, huskies easily learn new information and approach classes responsibly. However, the owner must show perseverance and firmness (not to be confused with rudeness) in the upbringing and training, in order to assert the role of the leader.
It is recommended to start an energetic pet for people who prefer an active lifestyle. Huskies require daily physical activity for proper development. This breed is not suitable for keeping in an apartment.
Health
Huskies by nature have good health, and their average life expectancy is from 12 to 15 years.
Care
Husky – absolutely unpretentious breed. These dogs are clean, their coat is devoid of unpleasant smell.
Huskies are best kept in enclosures, because due to the thick undercoat, they feel great outdoors. Aviary should be high and exclude the possibility of undermining, because in terms of escape, the Huskies are incredibly inventive and diligent.
For good health and harmonious development, northern dogs need regular active walks. It is enough to comb out the wool only once a week and regularly during the moult. Huskies shed rarely and not so pronounced, so there is no problem with excess hair.
Siberian Husky
Story
Homeland Siberian Husky – USA. The breed is descended from the dogs of the north-eastern part of Siberia, imported into Canada and Alaska in the 19th century. They were mixed with the blood of Alaska Indian dogs, and so a new breed of hardy and friendly sled dogs appeared. Often, the Huskies participated in dog-sledding races and were loyal companions to the prospectors.
The first standard of Siberian Huskies was published in 1930, and the FCI breed was recognized in 1966.
